Farewell 2011~

Farewell 2011~

This year has been quiet an eventful experience.  Though I’d rather cherish the great memories we’ve shared and revel on the painful events this year has passed.  I am grateful nonetheless.  We all have learned from each experience and the decisions we’ve made as well as the many repercussions we’ve faced.  We have grown stronger and happier.  We matured and has climbed great heights.  I am pleased and blessed to have shared 2011 to those I love dearly!

To the family who has departed, may you all rest in peace and find the best place you have ever dreamed of-

To those soldiers who fought for this country and have lost their lives, we thank you for the ultimate sacrifice.  To the soldier’s family: we cannot imagine your loss, but we are here to cherish the memories of your loved ones.

To our friends in battle: may you all enjoy the coming of the New Year 2012 and hope to see you home soon!

Have a phenomenal New Year to all!!!

Is it time to go home?

“Wait! Why is everybody flocking towards the door? Are we all headed home now?” Unfortunately, not all of us are lucky to accumulate hours of vacation time.  While most of the senior employees are headed home and getting their grooves ready for entertainment, some of us are chained don to their desks; like me for instance. I am chained until the clock strikes 5:00- only then can I go home. NOT!!! We must be released early today! With no luck, most of us are staying ’til 5pm tonight 😦

“Oh well” i sighed. “The day is almost done” i softly said.

To all commuters: Please drive safely tonight, wherever you’re heading to-

Dumerils Boa

Just wanted to share this experience with everyone!

Smazoo and Coco (Dumerils Boa)

These two are our rescue pet snakes.  My husband found an ad in Craigslist about snakes being tossed away.  Sometime in August 2011, he called the number listed on the ad and finally made an appointment to meet with the man and checked out the snakes.  After an hour of chatting, Nikolai has decided to take the snakes home for rescue.  You see, my husband loves snakes and enjoys caring for them and learning more of their personalities and disposition.  I enjoy researching their anatomy and characteristics as well as their origin.

I have found out that these Dumerils are natives of Madagascar, since they are extinct (in the wild), only those who owns them in captivity can/would breed to help build their population.  We are awaiting to mate these beautiful Dumerils and donate their clutch to the Madagascar Wildlife and Africa 🙂

updated version, i apologize for the inconvenience (it was hard to post something from my phone)

New Year’s Wish~

Sasha and Nikolai

As the year closes we would like to say “Farewell 2011, it’s been a blast.  A blessing to many and a curse to some and endearing to a handful.  Hello 2012, what have you got for us all?”
