LIFE in a World of Chaos

Happy Christmas

I apologize for the late post everyone. It’s been hectic in the “house of chaos” this time of year. Grams flew to Texas with her granddaughter, Madz (I call her) to celebrate christmas with Michael (Madz dad) my brother in-law and his wife Maria (her step-mum) and grams oldest son, this year. My daughter flew to New Zealand to celebrate her first ever Christmas and tenth birthday with relatives & cuzzies. The holiday isn’t the same without them two.

Luckily, we have aunt Cathy to save the day. We spent Christmas day and opened more presents there. It was low keyed and we all had a splendid time, without drama and chaos (who knew it was possible). The little prince was surely spoiled with presents. We didn’t think we could pull this off. Honestly, the big players weren’t around, I thank God for that.

Thank you everyone for stopping by. It’s been a pleasure sharing such moments with each and everyone of you here in bloggoshere. May the year 2016 give you all a prosperous year.

Holiday Treasures

I am delighted to share with you my ‘holiday treasures’-

First, I am thankful for having the opportunity to share something like this to the entire world.  I never expected it in my wildest to have thought to blog this all out 🙂

Second, grateful for having such a huge family on both sides.  Though my mum’s family are in the Philippines, however, my father’s side of the family are scattered abroad.  I am grateful for so many things this life has offered and as well as delivered.

No matter how far and scattered we are, you’re all close to my heart 🙂

Third, for having been blessed with an amazing family of my own. My children are my greatest treasures in life-  they are my strength.  A phenomenal husband as my rock and guiding light.  I am thrilled to share this journey of life with you.  I love you more today than yesterday, but not much more than tomorrow.

And for myself, I love you with every beat of my heart!

I hope everyone has found their treasures in life this year 🙂

Christmas in our home

Just a simple and small things for the wee ones and a tower for hubby 🙂

My spoiled brats and a dad equals to ten spoiled brats 🙂

a lovely sight after they’ve collected their favorites 🙂

♥  ♥  ♥

I remember growing up in the Philippines, Christmas was a treasured holiday.  Though there were plenty of traditions to be observed, however, in my home most of them were catholic.  Midnight mass was a must, there were prayers and the numerous ordeal of novenas, but in the end it was a blessing.

As a child, these traditions were amazing.  Though I don’t observe them here in the states but those memories were ones I treasure most.

So in my home, here in the States, we don’t have any of our ancestral traditions.  My husband is Russian-Italian-Irish decent, while I’m a complete Hines 57  which is comprised of Filipino-Spanish (maternal) Spanish-Chinese-Greek and the rest of mid-east (paternal).  Now you see, my children are hybrids of Hines 57 🙂  There’s bountiful traditions to be observed but we’re glad we have our own.

It’s been a wonderful Christmas and next year, there will be a tradition we are going to enjoy and obeserve 🙂

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!

Happy Christmas Everyone!

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on your troubles will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on your troubles will be miles away

Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
They gather near to us once more

Through the years we all will be together and
If the fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bow
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

Faithful friends who are dear to us
They gather near to us once more

Through the years we all will be together and
If the fates allow
But ’til then we’ll have to muddle through somehow
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

♥ ♥ ♥

Have a Happy Christmas Everyone! Enjoy celebrating the spirit of Christmas. May your homes be filled with LOVE, JOY, LAUGHTER and PROSPERITY for the coming Year 2012!

“How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flown. How did it get so late so soon?”  Dr. Seuss~

~ ~ ~

It’s not that long ago we said goodbye to year 2010. Here we are facing the end of the year 2011. How is it that this year has gone by so fast? Where did those days flown to and where did those months perched? I can only wonder for I cannot account the events of this year. LIFE has been so unorganized- but don’t fret my darlings. This chaos shall cease shortly.

All my life, I look forward for December. Not really sure why, but I certainly wait for its cycle to arrive. Now that it’s at hand… I shall celebrate gleefully. Though, shopping for things to be wrapped and neatly nestled under a Christmas tree hasn’t been completed; I shall be victorious tonight, after work that is. Without the children and husband to hurry me along the aisles and land at the registry. I will savour the moment and put a smile on my face while I shop the stores of Portland.

Have a safe day shopping everyone!!!
